Deception Pass State Park offers 40 hiking trails from hiking along the waters edge to traversing Goose Rock, or hiking out to Lighthouse Point to enjoy a spectacular view of the Deception Pass Bridge.
North Beach Trail with it's point of origin also being the North West point of Whidbey Island. With the Strait of Juan de Fuca at your back you head East along the North Shore of Whidbey Island. The trail takes offers two choices. You can remain up on the bluff peering down at each of the rocky coves below or you can detour down to the beach at each cove and enjoy the lapping of the water on the pebble beach. After about a mile you will find yourself looking up at the underbelly of the Deception Pass Bridge 200 feet above.
